The Sharks would allow the first goal 2:30 minuets in and seemed to be chasing the scoreboard all night. Meier would get the equalizer towards the end of the first period and the Sharks would slightly edge in shots 11 to 9. Kyrou and Saad would get goals in the second, one being on the power play. Hertl would get a goal but the late goal would ultimately be the dagger of the game. Logan would equalize the game early in the third but midway through the Sharks would allow the GWG and subsequent empty-netter to seal the loss.
