The Sharks would play an effective if yet uninspired sort of play for the first 40 minutes of play. The Wings would strike first with a goal, but Zetterlund would continue his impressive offensive play with a goal of his own to end the first. Justin Bailey would tally for the Sharks to draw them even 2 a piece at the conclusion of the 2nd period. In the 3 period Barabanov would score his second of the season to give the Sharks a short lived 91 second lead. The Wings would score 3 un-answered goals and leave the sharks looking for answers on how to solve the 9 game losing streak.
