On what should have been a joyous release of brand new Jerseys, the Sharks would have their hearts broken in the dying seconds of the game to lose 4-3. Duclair would have a 2 goal game scoring on 2 separate break aways while Zetterlund would score his career best 15th goal, unfortunately in a losing effort. Kahkonen would statistically have an average night, but reviewing the goals he let in we can see a pattern of soft goals coming at the absolute worst times. The defense in general seemed disjointed and would allow 41 shots to be directed towards Kappo.
