San Jose Sharks Mount Rushmore

Teal Town USA Honorary Members’ Picks

Kelsey Lee (@SeamoreSports)

Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski, Tomas Hertl, Aaron Dell

Reasoning:

I mean what can you say about Jumbo other than wow. He’s like the knight in shining armor that always seems to come to the rescue when the team needs it the most.

Joe Pavelski will always be known as Captain America. Even though he is no longer a Shark, he always knew how to bring the team back from the brink.

Tomas Hertl is my second favorite Shark. How can you not pick him. Mr. Smile. He is always upbeat but at the same time he will tell you how he feels the team did.

I know am the girl who loves her goalies. However, without Aaron Dell being a UND alumni, I would have never found the Sharks.

Patrick Marleau, Joe Thornton, Owen Nolan, Joe Pavelski

Reasoning:

Marleau is a franchise leader who owns some pretty big records.

Thornton is the greatest passer of his generation, a future Hall of Famer, and once trolled former Vancouver Canuck Henrik Sedin.

Nolan is first or top three in every major category for the Sharks in his time, and is still top ten in most. He was the most prolific Shark before the era of Thornton and Marleau.

Pavelski is a fully homegrown underdog, and may be the most beloved player in franchise history by the fan base. He is top 3 in most major categories, and top 5 in all except penalty minutes.
