The San Jose Sharks would get off to a quick start this Super Bowl Sunday with a nice depth goal by Evgeny Svechnikov about 3 minuets into the game. The Sharks would continue the good play with a Power Play goal on a great effort play by Alexander Barabanov 9 minuets into the second period. Erik Karlsson would cap off a 3 point night with his 18th goal of the season. Hertl would add a much needed empty net goal with Aaron Dell getting the win in injury relief.
