Despite the Sharks outshooting the Wild 18-5 the Sharks failed to equalize the 1-0 lead Minnesota grabbed on Spurgeon’s goal. The Sharks would solve Fleury in the second on the Power Play by Captain Couture’s goal, EK65 and Hertl would pickup assists. With the assist Erik Karlsson would take over the Sharks’ single scoring by a defensemen. The Wild would take the lead once again with a Power Play goal by Gaudreau with 2 minutes left in the second. Johansson would get the insurance goal in the 3rd period, a late Sharks Power Play would get the Sharks within 1 goal thanks to Hertl. Matts Zuccarello, would re-establish the 2 goal lead with a goal 11 minutes into the third plus a empty net. Landi breakdown another Sharks loss.
